Leeds is the largest centre outside London for financial and business services, digital creatives, publishing & broadcasting. It has the second-highest concentration of knowledge-intensive jobs and is the third-largest manufacturing centre by local authority area.

Over 1,350 digital companies are based in Leeds with a combined workforce of around 10,000. The city has the highest number of scale-up digital companies outside the South East with workers in the Leeds tech sector being amongst the highest paid in the UK.
